History of CGS
During an exploration tour and market research in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, ingenious Swiss Engineer Albert Grünenfelder sen. notices the great potential for commercial vehicles and superstructures in this region. Together with a Saudi entrepreneur with high spirits Esmat Al-Saady, founds the joint venture CGS in 1976.

CGS stats operations as a single factory facility in the outskirts of Riyadh

Joint Hands with Carrier Transicold, France
Together with Carrier Transicold France CGS became sole Distributor for CTE products in KSA and still continuing to date

HMF hydraulic truck mounted cranes and water tanks were some of CGS initial product lines

Saudi Arabia had witnessed a boom in Agriculture and Farming
Growing requirements for the temperature-controlled vehicles bodies and storage facilities, CGS moved on to the business of reefer truck/ trailer bodies and coldstores warehousing

In 1983 CGS expanded to Jeddah with Consolidated Grunenfelder and Saady Co. formed
